WWE Roadblock
Well, I watched this travesty of a PPV last night and while I was not surprised, I was still quite disappointed.
Disappointment #1: Bray v Lesner turned into Bray/Luke Harper vs Lesner, which quickly became Luke/Lesner....
So we still don't have an opponent for Bray at WM... boooooo...
#2: Jericho vs Swagger!?!?!?!? Why oh why did they choose Swagger?!?!!? We're in Toronto, Canada, and Jericho is the villain... so we decide to get the all-american Swagger to face him!?!?!? Why not Sammy Zane? Which leads me to...
#3: Sammi Zayn vs Stardust. WHY!?!?!? I know, they have already decided to reduce Cody to jobber status (not sure why as he's an incredible performer who actually used to get over with the crowd), but why relegate Zayn into this match when he could have been fighting Jericho (or ANYONE else!).
#4: Why are KO and AJ having an iron man match at an UNTELEVISED house show in Atlantic City on the same night?!!?!? THAT would have been an incredible to match to watch (Apparently, KO won 2 falls to 1, but AJ was holding the title at the end)...
#5: League of Nations vs New Day. Yes, I suppose they have to face SOMEONE, but this was bizarre, as Wade Barrett actually got to wrestle (even though he took the loss) TWICE in a week!! Remember when the members of the League were actually fairly resepected main eventers in singles competition? Those days seem to be over...
Saying this, there were still some great momemts in this PPV... the Divas match (Natalya losing to Charlotte) was one of the best women's matches all year, even if the outcome was obvious (Charlotte won, despite "Natalya having her beat" and Ric interfering :) )
HHH vs Ambrose was also a pretty good match - yes we all hoped Dean would win, but HHH winning and more importantly, performing well, means we could still get a decent main event at WM...
