If you are playing a Showdown Match in Scribblenauts Showdown and connect additional controllers for more people to play, the players with those controllers will not yet be assigned in-game.
In order to add additional players, you'll need to return to the Main Menu, connect all the controllers you want to play with, and then enter Showdown Mode again.
